Tiny Dancers
The 3" x 3" art of Shannon Hurley
From her perch behind the counter at Baller Artware, Shannon Hurley connects people not only with brushes and ink, but also with places she knows and loves in LA.
After moving to the city in 2001, Shannon developed what she calls her ˮoutsider’s eye.” The billboard you remember because it never changes, the restaurant that every local has been to. “When you see something like the Tail o’ the Pup stand and think, ‘oh, that’s really weird.’ Then, after 25 years, it takes on an air of familiarity, almost comfort, as the spot to turn, or the signal that you’re nearly home.”
Sit back, light up, and enjoy these little swirls of paint that bring to life the stony city of Los Angeles.
