In the fall of 2010, a rare, decadent strain known as Moon Rocks began circulating through Los Angeles hip-hop circles, fueling creativity, deep relaxation, and long, hazy nights. Soon, anonymous growers started taking Moon Rocks and layering

it with kief, oil, and experimental genetics—giving birth to Caviar cannabis, also known as “weed caviar,” “caviar gold,” “moon rocks,” and “sun rocks.” Renowned for its potent yet refined THC levels (50%–90%), sugared-frosting appearance, and calming effects, it earned a fitting nickname: the champagne of weed.

The craftsmanship of Caviar was a sight to behold—and to smoke. At first, it circulated only among cannabis connoisseurs in the know. Its high terpene profiles, paired with equally intense effects, made it highly sought after and notoriously hard to find.

DRIPPED, DRIZZLED & SOAKED TO THE MOON

As time went by, demand soared, and the strain became more available. Caviar was officially blowing minds. But why? First, the craftsmanship only uses ultra-premium, dense buds that are bursting with rich terpene profiles and very high THC levels. The buds are then dipped, drizzled, or soaked in rich hash oil, distillate, or live resin. This step saturates the flower with THC and sticky oil, boosting potency. Then the gooey nugs are rolled in luscious kief, creating the infamous frosty outer layer that is sparkly and resplendent. Once dried, the final product is ultra-dense, sticky to the touch, and potent AF.

From chronic pain and anxiety to insomnia and appetite loss, Caviar provides wondrous relief.

“Cannabis caviar represents the artistry and innovation of craft cannabis,” says Jeff Zorn, CEO of Cannabis Training University. “But it’s not for the faint of heart. Even experienced users should respect its strength, start small, and appreciate the craftsman- ship that goes into making it.”

Although Caviar delivers a strong, long-lasting high that is felt quickly, it is also immensely calming and deeply relaxing. There is a fast cerebral buzz—slightly euphoric, and sensory to the max. Plus, it has an astounding 3 to 5 hour effect—making it ideal for nighttime use and couch-lock. And due to the whopping levels of THC and full-spectrum makeup, Caviar is a wonder when it comes to medicinal effects. From chronic pain and anxiety to insomnia and appetite loss, Caviar provides wondrous relief.

EXPENSIVE...BUT WORTH IT

When Gavin Kushman, one of the world’s leading strain experts, first tried Caviar, he noted... “The smoke was thick but smooth, almost velvety. The flavor stood out immediately, earthy, sweet, with a resinous depth that regular flower just doesn’t deliver....Within minutes, I felt a wave of relaxation hit me, stronger than most strains I’ve reviewed. My body grew heavy, but my mind floated into this calm, euphoric space that seemed to stretch time. It wasn’t the kind of high where you want to run errands or write essays; it was the kind of high where you settle in, turn on music, and just let the evening unfold.”

When it comes to price, Caviar goes for $25-40 per gram, $80-$120 an eighth, and $30-50 for a pre-roll. However, the general consensus is that, like the delicious sturgeon eggs, it is a delicacy worth every cent.

To be sure, Caviar weed is the pinnacle of cannabis potency. Whether you’re a lifetime partaker or celebrating a special occasion, Caviar is the ultimate pick for luxury and chill. As the saying goes, “All moon rocks are caviar, but caviar is not always moon rocks.”

WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU TRIED YOUR CANNABIS CAVIAR?

The first time my eyes lit up—I knew I had found a winner. I knew it was different. The flavor lingered, the effect had depth, and it felt purposeful. What was even more exciting is that I had multiple amazing phenos. The combination between LANTZ and Grape Gas had created greatness. Coming from a legacy background, I could tell it was something special.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT CAVIAR STRAINS?

They have personality. When a bag of caviar opens up, everybody smells it. It’s a head turner. It’s strong but balanced, flavorful without being overdone. When grown right, they hit on every level, nose, taste, and effect.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAVIAR COLLECTION COLLAB WITH COOKIES.

The Blueberry Caviar has a smell that shouts blueberry. She’s loud and brings deep berry flavor with a gassy backbone. It’s extremely resinous, visually striking, and delivers a happy, uplifting experience that feels easy and smooth. Blackberry leans darker and heavier, with richer fruit and more gas.

WHAT’S YOUR GROWING PROCESS?

It takes patience and attention. We focus on strong genetics, good rich soil, and hands-on care from start to finish. Nothing is rushed, and that shows in the final product.

YOU DO CAVIAR VAPES, TOO...

Yes, I have some vapes with a couple of different brands. I don’t personally make them, but I have collaborations with partners like Arcata X Cookies, Heavy Hitters, and others.

WHY IS THERE SUCH AN INTEREST IN CAVIAR STRAINS RIGHT NOW?

People care more about quality and experience now. Caviar offers something distinctive and memorable beyond just THC numbers.

DO YOU HAVE MORE CAVIAR STRAINS COMING?

Yes, I have over 100 strains crossed with the caviars that I am testing right now, but only when they’re ready. Everything we release has to earn its place.

Did you Know?

Due to its density and oil content, Caviar is usually not smoked in joints or blunts. It’s better suited for glassware or vaporizers.
